Ignatius Campanella

	Ignatius Campanella, 80, of Willisville, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003 in Willisville.
	Mr. Campanella was a member of Landmark Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Sparta and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II.  He was a member of Alva Courier American Legion Post 487 in Chester, Kaskaskia VFW Post 3553 in Chester and the UMWA Local 1392 of Percy.
	He was the retired owner and operator of Campanello Grocery Store in Willisville and had retired from Captain Mine.
	He was born Friday, November 24, 1922 in Willisville, the son of Gus and Pearl Dolce Campanella.  He married Theodora G. Irwin on April 30, 1949 in Pinckneyville.
	Surviving are his wife, Theodora G. Campanella of Willisville; one son, Robert (Bobby) & Donna Campanella of Willisville; two daughters, Martha & Dale Mezel of Willisville and Kimberly  Campanella of Carbondale; two granddaughters, Jessica & Ryan Fisher of Ava and Marcy Lietz of Willisville; one step-grandson, Brian Mezel of Coulterville; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Campanella of Maryville, Tenn. and Frank Campanella of Indianapolis, Ind. and two sisters, Fannie Brown of St. Louis, Mo. and Angie Specia of St. Louis, Mo.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
	Funeral services were Tuesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Larry Blake officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville after 6 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., then from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
	Military graveside services were performed by the Kaskaskia VFW Post 3553 of Chester.
	Memorials may be made to Landmark Apostolic Church of Sparta or Alzheimer's.
